"Is your head spinning just trying to keep up with the many new legislative changes that have taken place this year? Well, you are not alone! This presentation will provide highlights of recent legislative initiatives such as the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, new COBRA subsidy and more, while giving you practical suggestions and strategies on how to manage it all. A question and answer session will follow to address any other law related issues.

  • An overview of the new Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009
  • A brief explanation of the new amendments to the Americans with Disabilities Act and the new regulations under the federal Family and Medical Leave Act;
  • An overview of the new federal premium assistance for COBRA continuation coverage of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 ("ARRA") and how to comply with it; and
  • A brief explanation of recent IRS guidance with respect to the treatment of differential wage payments made by employers to employees while they are on active military duty for more than 30 days.
