“How can I motivate my employees?” A question that has been asked infinitely by so many leaders and managers throughout the ages. Of course, there are no easy answers to this question. As most managers know, money, although very important, is not always the answer. So what is? This program will provide you with some enlightening answers that have proven successful over the past 35 years.
This program is directed towards key staff in a leadership role such as human resource professionals, executives, managers, supervisors, and entrepreneurs. The content will provide insight regarding available tools that can make a constructive difference with direct reports by improving the work environment in such a way that will positively affect motivation, productivity, turnover and other staff concerns that contribute toward the organization’s bottom line results. Topics that will be explored are as follows: (1) identifying and defining exceptional performance, (2) although different people are motivated by different things, is there a fundamental theme to motivation? (3) analyzing performance problems,
(4) communications that motivate for exceptional performance and (5) how to effectively “manage up”.
This program has been approved for 2.0 recertification credit hours toward PHR and SPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). Attendees will receive the certificate of attendance and program code number at the conclusion of the session. For more information about certification or recertification, please visit the HRCI homepage at www.hrci.org.
