A Welcome from our Chair

As you read our first newsletter for 2007, we successfully held our first four hour seminar. Richard Carlson, Focus Dynamics was our guest speaker and drew a large audience. It was a great presentation on Emotional Intelligence and everyone participated. Thank you!

The JSEC steering committee presented Kirk Lawson, River Radiology with the “Outstanding Leadership and Service Award.” Kirk has led the committee for the last three years and successfully accomplished our mission and vision to save employers time and money. I gracefully accepted the rein for 2007 and hope to continue what Kirk has created. Everyone on the steering committee donates so much time and effort to make each and every event a successful one. A lot of hours go into one event to make sure all areas are covered. I want to thank everyone on the committee for a fantastic job. Without the team we could not provide the level of workshops and seminars for the employers in our community. Thank you!

This month we feature Susan Sadler as our steering committee member. Susan donates a great deal of time. She keeps minutes of our meetings, writes the flyers and press releases, sets up the meeting room and is a member of the Marketing/PR Committee. Susan is a great asset to the team.
