JSEC has successfully held its first seminar in March for 2008 with three additional seminars planned.

The Steering Committee Members Up Close: Ron Stonditsch
Ron Stonitsch, the Human Resources Consultant/Employer Services Representative of the NYS Department of Labor had been given the responsibility of re-charging the Ulster County JSEC, which had fallen into dormancy. By recruiting and inviting driven and service oriented business people from private industry and public agencies, the Hudson Valley JSEC has now become a real resource for the business community. Requests for Medical Documentation
Leave for sick, injured or disabled employees is a common, and complicated issue for employers. Federal and state law has created a web of statutes governing the treatment of these employees: the Family & Medical Leave Act (“FMLA”), the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), the Rehabilitation Act, Workers’ Compensation Law, and applicable state law, such as New York State’s Human Rights Law.
