Emotional Intelligence - The Key to a Productive Workplace

Tuesday, March, 13, 2007

Guest Speaker: Richard M. Carlson, M.Ed.

PowerPointPower Point Presentation

Emotional Intelligence (EI) is the measure of how one’s feelings and emotions affect how people communicate, motivate, interact, perform and cooperate with one another and with other stakeholders in work environments that are often emotionally charged with stress, competition, conflict, deadlines and communication breakdowns that are prevalent in so many organizations.

On March 13th you’ll get an overview of what EI is, have an opportunity to complete a questionnaire that will give you a general idea as to how to perceive your own level of IE and focus on one of the most beneficial aspects of EI and inter-personal relationships which is called the “Communication Globe.” Those attending will gain valuable insight as to the significance of and importance of creating and sustaining an organization culture that is high in EI.

The program is directed towards anyone in a leadership role: executives, managers, supervisors, HR professionals and entrepreneurs seeking to enhance their communication skills through emotional intelligence with a desired outcome of creating a productive, effective work environment.
